Hi! Welcome to Lulu Bug Travel! I’m really glad you’ve stopped by to my little corner of the web. With so many choices you have available online today, I’m really grateful that you’re taking the time to read my blog. I hope while you’re here that you’ll find some useful information and maybe a bit of inspiration for your own travel adventures.
As you can see, this website is a work in progress. I have always wanted to start a travel blog and was always too afraid to start. I had the same questions and doubts as many: Will anyone really ever read it? Will anyone even like what I share? That negative self-talk can really hold you back, so I finally decided to shut that voice down and just start writing and sharing. And let’s face it, if it’s not a little bit scary, is it even worth starting?
So what is Lulu Bug Travel anyway? Or what do I hope it becomes is the better question. I hope for this blog to be the place you go to and get inspiration for booking your own trips, especially when it comes to cruising! I absolutely love cruising. I enjoy knowing I’ll wake up in an entirely different destination each day, but I also really enjoy the relaxation that sea days bring. From the entertainment to food, ports of call and tour excursions, spa treatments or hanging on the lido – a cruise trip really has something for everyone.
My husband and I are fairly active, but not overly adventurous people. I mean, if you’re looking for scaling a mountain…this blog probably isn’t going to be for you. But if you want to learn about snorkeling or see what you might find while hiking in different ports of call – then you’re in the right place! Here you’ll find information on what it’s like to take a zipline excursion, hiking through Mayan Ruins, tubing in caves or the rush of going down naturally formed waterfall slides! That’s my idea of a fun adventure!
But let’s not forget all the great eats along the way, either! I’ve eaten so many unique things all over the world that I’m not even entirely sure what some of it even was! I will share all the local eats we come across and give you reviews for cruise ship specialty dining and all the goodies you’ll find on a cruise ship that I’m sure will tempt your taste buds. Pictured below are tacos from BlueIguana and the famous Guys Burger – only found on a Carnival cruise. I still can’t decide which one I like better!
TIP – it’s not on the menu, but just ask and they’ll make your Guys Burger a double! If you’re feeling it, ask for a triple!!
Again, thanks for stopping by! If you like what you see – please drop a comment, I’d love to hear from you! If there’s specific content you’d like to see in the future or find out more about, just let me know and I’ll see what I can do to get that information for you!
